Lynda Johnson

In her capacity as Executive Administrator to the President and Chief of Protocol, Lynda Johnson brings 33 years of experience in higher education. The past 30 have been in the Office of the President at Kennesaw State University. Before coming to KSU, Ms. Johnson spent eight years in the corporate sector, five of which were in the corporate offices of Fuqua Industries Inc. and two years as Administrative Assistant to the Chairman in the North American headquarters of a Swedish-owned engineering company. Previous educational experience included working with the Dean of the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin, and 18 months at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She attended the University of Texas in Austin, Southern Polytechnic State University, and Kennesaw State University. She holds a B.S. in Sociology from Kennesaw State (magna cum laude). Scholastic memberships include Golden Key National Honor Society and Alpha Kappa Gamma Sociology Honor Society. She holds professional certifications in domestic and international protocol from the Protocol School of Washington, the only accredited school of its kind in the U.S. She is a member of the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education (NAPAHE) and Professional Diplomacy International-Protocol Officer Association (PDI-POA). She serves on the Advisory Board of the KSU Chapter of InterVarsity. She and her husband, Skip, are active members of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.
